Arrival, orientation and access
Where is Casa della Contessa located?
Casa della Contessa is located at Via XX Settembre 69, in the historic centre of Turin, one of the city’s most elegant and central streets, just a few minutes’ walk from major cultural attractions, museums and restaurants.

Is the area central and well connected?
Yes. The property is located in the very centre of the city and is well served by public transport, taxis and mobility services. It is an ideal location for exploring Turin on foot.

Yes. Casa della Contessa is housed in a historic Turin palazzo. This is an integral part of its character and charm.

Do the rooms face the street or the inner courtyard?
Some rooms face Via XX Settembre (Suite, Contessa and Adele), while others overlook the inner courtyard (‘700 and Angelica). Guests may indicate a preference at the time of booking, subject to availability.

How many rooms do you have and how many guests can they accommodate?
The Guest House has five rooms. Four rooms have a private bathroom with direct access from the room; the Adele room has a bathroom for exclusive use located in the corridor.
The total maximum capacity is 12 guests (2 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1).

Are rooms facing Via XX Settembre noisy?
Via XX Settembre is a lively central street with traffic and tram lines. Rooms facing the street may therefore be noisier, especially during daytime hours. Guests with light sleep are advised to request a courtyard-facing room.

Rooms overlooking the inner courtyard are generally quieter, particularly at night.

Parking and arrival by car
Where can I park?
As the Guest House is located in the historic centre, on-street parking is limited. We recommend nearby public car parks or garages, easily accessible from the property (GTT Santo Stefano, ACI Roma – San Carlo).

Do you offer partnered or discounted parking?
At present, we do not have partnered parking facilities. However, we are happy to provide guidance on the most convenient and reliable parking options in the area (GTT Santo Stefano, ACI Roma – San Carlo).

Can I stop in front of the building to unload luggage?
Traffic regulations do not allow stopping, even briefly. In exceptional cases of urgency or objective necessity, and if agreed in advance, brief access to the entrance hall may be possible.

Is the entrance easy to find?
After entering the main door at Via XX Settembre 69, walk a few metres and you will find the lift on your left. The Art Guest House is located on the second floor.
After booking, you will receive clear, detailed instructions with step-by-step directions.

What time is check-in?
Check-in is available from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. All information is provided prior to arrival. Early check-in may be requested; alternatively, luggage storage solutions are available.

Yes. Casa della Contessa uses a self check-in system that allows guests to arrive independently, without waiting. Telephone assistance is always available if needed.

How does self check-in work?
Before arrival, guests receive a single, clear message containing all necessary instructions: access to the building, entry to the Guest House and room access.

No. Casa della Contessa does not have a reception or continuous on-site presence. The welcome experience is designed to be discreet, efficient and non-intrusive.
We can reach the property within a few minutes if necessary.

All rooms are located on the second floor of the building and can be reached by stairs or lift.

Yes. Each room is equipped with adjustable heating valves, in compliance with legal limits set at 20°C.

Are the rooms soundproofed?
The building is historic, and rooms are not soundproofed to modern hotel standards. Noise perception varies depending on exposure; courtyard-facing rooms are generally quieter.

Yes. Guests may request a courtyard-facing room at the time of booking, subject to availability.

Are rooms cleaned daily?
Daily room tidying is automatic. For longer stays, service arrangements are agreed directly with the guest.

Towels are changed every two nights, while bed linen is changed every three nights.
For short stays, such as weekend visits, service is aligned with hotel standards.
Additional changes are available upon request.
Guests wishing to adopt a more sustainable approach may simply leave towels on the racks to indicate they do not wish them to be changed.

We pay great attention to cleanliness. However, as the property is housed in a historic building, textile furnishings such as rugs and curtains are present. These are regularly treated, vacuumed and sanitised.

Can rugs or other textiles be removed from the room?
No. It is not possible to remove rugs, curtains or other textile elements from the rooms. All textile furnishings are treated and sanitised according to professional cleaning procedures.

Do all rooms have a private bathroom?
Four rooms have a private bathroom with direct access from the room. The Adele room has a bathroom for exclusive use located in the corridor.

No. Casa della Contessa is an Art Guest House and does not offer a breakfast service.

We have chosen not to offer a standardised breakfast, favouring a more flexible approach to hospitality and allowing guests to explore the excellent historic cafés in the area.
Each room includes a courtesy corner for preparing hot beverages, and biscuits and fruit juices are provided.
